The meeting of the National Security Council of the Republic has concluded

"Our work will continue in full coordination."

The National Security Council of the Republic convened at 2pm on Monday after President Tufan Erhürman called for a meeting to evaluate ongoing developments in the region.

The meeting, chaired by President Tufan Erhürman, was attended by Speaker of the Assembly Ziya Öztürkler, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Security Forces Commander Major General İlker Görgülü, Main Opposition Republican Turkish Party leader Sıla Usar İncirli, Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Interior Minister Dursun Oğuz, Civil Defence Organisation President Hakan Balaban, and Chief of Police Ali Adalıer.

The council held comprehensive discussions on regional developments and evaluated the security issues that have arisen.

Following the conclusion of the meeting, President Erhürman stated: 

“Our National Security Council of the Republic held its meeting and, within the framework of various scenarios, assessed in detail the process that began with the operations carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran, particularly taking into account the impacts on the island.

Our work will continue in full coordination.”
