President Tufan Erhürman holds telephone calls to congratulate Democratic Rally and Progressive Party of Working People on their electoral successes

President Tufan Erhürman held telephone conversations with Annita Demetriou, leader of Democratic Rally (DISY), and Stefanos Stefanou, Secretary-General of Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL), following the elections held in South Cyprus and conveyed his congratulations.

Following yesterday’s elections, President Erhürman telephoned Annita Demetriou, leader of DISY, whose party emerged as the leading party with 27.1 per cent of the vote, and Stefanos Stefanou, Secretary-General of AKEL, whose party came second with 23.9 per cent of the vote, to extend his congratulations.
