President Tufan Erhürman meets with İlham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan

President Tufan Erhürman held a bilateral meeting on Friday with İlham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

During the meeting held in Antalya, where President Erhürman is attending the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, discussions were held on the development of relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries.

Also present at the meeting were Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. President Erhürman was accompanied by Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mehmet Dānā, Undersecretary to the Presidency, and İpek Borman, Advisor on Diplomacy and External Affairs.

President Erhürman, who is in Antalya to attend the fifth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, will continue his meetings. The Forum is being held at the NEST Congress and Exhibition Centre under the main theme ‘Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties.’

The Forum is being held in Antalya from 17 to 19 April 2026 under the auspices of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.

President Erhürman is expected to return to the island on the evening of Sunday, 19 April, following the conclusion of the Forum.
