President Erhürman holds bilateral meeting with António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations

President Tufan Erhürman, who is in New York for the High-level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, held a bilateral meeting with António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations.

The meeting between President Erhürman and Mr Guterres, held at United Nations Headquarters in New York on Saturday, took place in a positive atmosphere.

During the meeting, Confidence-Building Measures, as well as current and regional developments, were discussed.

President Erhürman was accompanied at the meeting by Presidential Undersecretary Mehmet Dânâ, TRNC Representative in New York Ambassador Murat Soysal, Coordinator for Confidence-Building Measures and Technical Committees Seniha Birand Çınar, and Adviser on Diplomacy and Foreign Relations İpek Borman.

President Erhürman is expected to return to the island at 7.55pm on 27 September.
