President Erhürman: “I continue on my path with seriousness and determination”

President Tufan Erhürman issued a written statement on Thursday responding to questions posed by Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides, stating: “I have not engaged in a blame game, nor will I.”

The statement of President Erhürman reads as follows:

“Mr. Christodoulides has asked me some questions and requested that I respond publicly.

Everything I have put on the table is already known to the public.   In any case, we will be meeting with Mr. Christodoulides on 24 February. At that meeting, just as he will have questions for me, I will also have questions for him. As always, I will respond to his questions. I hope and wish that he will likewise respond to mine.

Many have tried to test my patience and composure up to now. They have not succeeded 🙂 With the will of my people for a solution behind me, I will continue my path with patience, calmness, seriousness, and determination.

I have not engaged in a blame game, nor will I.”
