President Tufan Erhürman meets with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides over dinner
President Tufan Erhürman met this evening with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides at a dinner held in the buffer zone at 7.00pm.
President Erhürman was accompanied by Undersecretary to the Presidency Mehmet Dânâ.
Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres attended the dinner together with United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix, the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General on Cyprus Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar, and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Cyprus and Head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus Khassim Diagne.
Tomorrow (Wednesday, 29 July 2026), Mr. Guterres will also meet with President Erhürman and Mr. Christodoulides at 10.00am at the Mission of Good Offices in the buffer zone.
Following tomorrow's trilateral meeting, the UN Secretary-General is expected to hold a press conference.
