The meeting of the National Council of the Republic has started

Pursuant to the call made by President Tufan Erhürman to assess the developments taking place in our region, the National Council of the Republic convened on Monday at 2pm.

The meeting, held under the chairmanship of President Tufan Erhürman, is being attended by Speaker of the Assembly Ziya Öztürkler, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Commander of the Security Forces Major General İlker Görgülü, Leader of the main opposition Republican Turkish Party Sıla Usar İncirli, Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Minister of Interior Dursun Oğuz, President of the Civil Defence Organisation Hakan Balaban, and Chief of Police Ali Adalıer.

The Council will undertake a comprehensive review of regional developments and evaluate the resulting security considerations.
