The ninth anniversary of the passing of the TRNC Founding President, Rauf Raif Denktaş, was commemorated in a ceremony where President Ersin Tatar delivered a speech stating that he shared the same values of seeking an agreement in Cyprus that was based on ‘sovereignty’ and a ‘two State model’ – which he said was afforded great importance by Mr Denktaş.
The President met with the Chairman of the Turkish Peace Forces Veterans Association Kadir Dedeoğlu and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting of the committee, which was headed by Lawyer Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, members Prof. Dr. Tülen Saner, Prof. Dr. Derviş Deniz, Dimağ Çağıner and Hasan Sungur were present.
Presidential Sports High Committee held its second meeting headed by Sertaç Bozatlı.
During the meeting, President Ersin Tatar exchanged views on the Cyprus issue and developments in the higher education sector.
President Ersin Tatar stated that the Postal Service has great importance in the relations of Turkish Cypriots with the world and drew attention to the contribution made to the promotion of the country thanks to postage stamps.
As of January 1, 2021, Hakkı Müftüzade has been appointed as the Turkish Cypriot Member of the Committee of Missing Persons by President Ersin Tatar.
