First Lady Sibel Tatar delivers a speech at the event marking the February 22 World Scout Day 

“Scouting contributes to raising awareness of  children on environmental and natural development”

First Lady Sibel Tatar has paid tribute to scouting and spoke about the importance of scouting values at the Girl Scout Loyalty Day event organised by the TRNC Girl Scouts Association,  marking the February 22 World Scout Day.

First Lady Sibel Tatar, who is also the Honorary President of the Association, drew attention to the importance of "loyalty" and "following the core values in scouting" in her speech at the event.
Thanking everyone who worked in the Association and contributed to scouting, the First Lady also commemorated with respect those scouts who have passed away.  

Sibel Tatar stated: "Scouting develops a good character for all, from being loyal, helpful and courteous, to following the core values of respect, care, belief and co-operation." 

Calling on more families to encourage their children towards scouting, Sibel Tatar said that "scouting also contributes to children's development and appreciation of environmental and nature awareness". 
Emphasising the importance of the international activities of the Association, Sibel Tatar expressed her gratitude to the Association promoting the name of the TRNC abroad.
