President Erhürman commemorates the 102nd anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye
President Tufan Erhürman has issued a written statement in commemoration of the 102nd anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.
The statement reads as follows:
We are marking the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye with immense pride and enthusiasm. This important milestone commemorates the establishment of the Republic, a result of the determined and valiant struggle led by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades. Their efforts laid the foundation for a nation that stands as the strongest guarantee of democracy.
The Turkish Cypriot people, sharing in these ideals, have also embraced the core values of the Republic. They continue to uphold and advance the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
On this significant day, as we come together to share in the collective excitement and spirit of the Republic's anniversary, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all citizens of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. With the utmost sincerity, I offer my best wishes to everyone on the occasion of 29 October Republic Day.
I honour and remember with deep love, respect, and gratitude the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all the heroes who played a vital role in establishing and safeguarding the Republic of Türkiye.
The enduring light of the Republic will continue to shine upon the Turkish Cypriot people, guiding and inspiring them.
