President Ersin Tatar attends the reception held for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Police Organisation and June 30 Police Day

In his speech during the event, President Ersin Tatar commemorated all former police officers who retired and who are not here today.
Stating that the police force is developing every day, President Tatar said the involvement of technology and equipment in the organisation as well as the ability to serve more effectively with the young police officers graduating from the Police School are source of pride.
Expressing that he takes pride in the police to cooperate with international organisations and improve themselves, especially in customs and money laundering cases, the President noted that the Turkish Cypriot Police, with the support of the Turkish state and the Security Forces Command, has reached the point of "a police organisation capable of all kinds of cooperation with international organisations."
President Tatar pointed to the importance of the Police to ensure peace, tranquility and security in parallel with the population structure of the TRNC and some different developments. He stated that his greatest wish is for young police officers to be able to fulfill their responsibilities in the best way possible and move the police force forward.
Indicating that importance should be given to young police officers and that the government should provide the necessary support as soon as possible to eliminate some weaknesses in the police force, President Tatar added, "Our greatest wish is to have a stronger police force by filling the vacant and needed positions."
