President Ersin Tatar has chaired a consultation meeting at the Presidency following the informal meeting on Cyprus in a broader format, that was convened on March 17 and 18 by the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Geneva.
The meeting was attended by Ergün Olgun, Beşparmak Think Tank member and former Special Representative of the President, former Minister of Economy and Energy Atay Ahmet Raşit, Retired Ambassador Aytuğ Plümer, Journalist Özer Kanlı and Politician, writer and former minister İsmail Bozkurt.
President Tatar was accompanied by his Special Representative, Güneş Onar, Advisor for Legal Affairs Sülen Karabacak, Confidence Building Measures and Bilateral Technical Committees Coordinator Seniha Birand Çınar, Special Advisor on International Relations and Diplomacy Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal, Foreign Press Officer Kerem Haser and Advisor on Youth Affairs Mustafa Fırat.
Discussions were held on the informal meeting and the outcomes. President Tatar explained that he attended the informal meeting with a positive agenda to hold meaningful discussions on the way forward in the absence of a common ground to start new and formal negotiations. President Tatar explained his constructive proposals based on cooperation across different areas.
