President Ersin Tatar holds meeting with the Chairman of the TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Azerbaijan National Assembly and the accompanying delegation
President Ersin Tatar has met with the delegation of the Azerbaijan-TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Azerbaijan National Assembly, headed by Cavanşir Feyziyev.

Assessing his visits to Azerbaijan and the process that has followed, President Tatar expressed his hope that “bilateral relations between the TRNC and Azerbaijan will continue to develop, and said that “Turkish Cypriot People place great importance on the relations between the TRNC and Azerbaijan”.
“The TRNC forms an integral part of the Turkic World,” President Tatar said. “The TRNC continues on its way with its independence and freedom,” he added.
Stating that the “TRNC is the free expression of the independence and freedom of the Turkish Cypriot people”, President Tatar emphasised the importance of Azerbaijan's support to the Turkish Cypriot People. Reiterating that it is his greatest wish to further develop the relations between the two States, President Tatar thanked the People of Azerbaijan for the support given to increase the role of the TRNC in the Turkic world.
“The contacts and cooperation between the TRNC and Azerbaijan are increasing following the acceptance of the TRNC as an observer member at the Organisation of Turkic States, which has strengthened the political ground,” President Tatar said, adding: “I hope the bonds of brotherhood between the two States will deepen and strengthen.”
Cavanşir Feyziyev thanked President Tatar for the meeting and briefed the President about the work carried out by the Azerbaijan-TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Group. He added that it is an “honour to be in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, within the scope of November 15 Republic Day”.
