President Ersin Tatar inaugurates Cumhuriyet Exhibition held at NEU in honour of the 39th anniversary of the proclamation of the TRNC

President Ersin Tatar inaugurated the Cumhuriyet Exhibition held in honour of the 39th anniversary of the proclamation of the TRNC, which brought together paintings, sculptures, stained-glass, ceramics and prints, that took place at the Atatürk Culture and Congress Centre Exhibition Hall organised by the NEU Faculty of Fine Arts and Design faculty members.
In his speech at the inauguration of the exhibition, President Tatar expressed that he is happy to be participating in the 429th exhibition organised by the Near East University, and stated that the "Republic Exhibition" was inaugurated on the 39th anniversary of the TRNC's proclamation.
Stating that the TRNC was not established easily, President Tatar said that an independent TRNC is of great importance for the Turkic world.
President Tatar continued his words as follows:
“Art enthusiasts and academicians from various Turkic states serve at the Near East University. Numerous exhibitions were held at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design. The works of artists from the member countries of the Organisation of Turkic States carry us from history to the future. We are working to strengthen our State for the independence and freedom of our people.
The message given by the “Günsel” cars produced by the Near East University taking place in the main parade during the 15 November Republic Day celebrations was that 'the TRNC has now reached the stage of producing her own car. We have fantastic achievements in this country.' The TRNC is definitely getting stronger.
It is important for Turkish Cypriots to live in prosperity and peace. All these successes are the greatest indicator of what the Turkish Cypriot people can achieve.”
