President Ersin Tatar inaugurates the 412th exhibition prepared by artists of the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design

President Ersin Tatar has emphasised the importance of artwork which leaves a mark on the future, in his address at the inauguration of the 412th ‘Fine Arts Exhibition’ held at the Near East University (NEU) Hospital Exhibition Hall.
Fifty forms of artwork, sculptures, ceramics, stained glass and prints from 14 academician artists that have been prepared by the NEU Faculty of Fine Arts and Design for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts is being displayed.
In his speech at the inauguration, President Tatar stated that “each and every exhibition is a success and provides insight, reflection and inspiration to people who visit them”. He underlined the “importance of keeping art alive. . .because beautiful and inspirational artwork leaves a mark on the future of both the TRNC and the Near East University”.
President Tatar commended the work of Near East University across different fields, adding: “I wish to commend NEU for your services to humanity in this very important region of the eastern Mediterranean, and thank everyone who has attributed importance to art and contributed to the preparation of such a beautiful exhibition.” The President stated that all the work done is valuable.
The “April” group exhibition, curated by Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Deputy Dean and GÜNSEL Art Museum Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, can be visited until June 24.
