President Ersin Tatar is visiting Canberra, the capital of Australia
President Ersin Tatar has laid a wreath on behalf of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, the capital of Australia.

The President, who is visiting the country on the invitation extended by Turkish Cypriot civil organisations, will be participating in events, meetings and festivals that have been planned to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Turkish Cypriot culture and traditions in multicultural Australia.
Following his arrival in Canberra, President Tatar paid a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, where he met with Ufuk Gezer, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Australia. During the visit, the President also signed the honorary book. President Tatar , who was accompanied by Ambassador Gezer, continued onto the Australian War Memorial, where he laid a wreath at the Commemorative Courtyard on behalf of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and participated in the “Last Post Ceremony”.
President Tatar has become the first President in the history of the TRNC, to be paying a visit to Australia.
He is being accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal, the Special Advisor to the President on International Relations and Diplomacy and Foreign Press Officer, Kerem Haser.
