President Ersin Tatar issues a message on the occasion of March 14th Medicine Day
President Ersin Tatar issued a message and congratulated doctors and all healthcare professionals on the occasion of March 14th Medicine Day.
“While the importance of health is better understood in times when humanity is faced by natural disasters such as epidemics and earthquakes; On March 14, Medicine Day, we once again emphasise the significance of the services provided by our doctors and healthcare professionals, who work devotedly day and night for human health and life, and who work at the expense of their lives in disaster areas when necessary.
While providing these services and carrying out their profession, the State plays an important role in terms of improving the working conditions and environments of healthcare workers. It is our wish to increase the satisfaction of healthcare services and healthcare personnel and to maintain the rights of healthcare professionals uninterruptedly.
The purpose of medicine is to ensure that people lead a happy life by improving their health and quality of life. We are very proud to witness Turkish doctors, our country's medical doctors and other healthcare professionals make contributions, and sometimes lead, the developments and various inventions that direct medical science.
With the understanding that health is our greatest wealth, we must work in order to eliminate the deficiencies in our health system and provide our people with services that will set an example to the world in the field of health.
With these feelings and thoughts, I sincerely extend my thanks to all healthcare professionals, doctors, who perform this blessed profession for their services and dedication to our people and humanity, and I congratulate the Medicine Day."
