President Ersin Tatar makes a statement to the press following the dinner hosted by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres
“The development of a culture of cooperation between the two sides is essential”
President Ersin Tatar spoke to the press as he was departing from the venue where the dinner for the heads of delegations was held by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, where he said the “development of a culture of cooperation between the two sides is essential”.
President Tatar stated that the dinner had “passed in a pleasant atmosphere,” adding: “We are focusing on developing cooperation between the two sides. There is a need to put in greater effort with regards the problems related to the Cyprus issue.”
Reiterating that “cooperation is essential” and that “these contacts show that cooperation is indeed possible”, President Tatar said that they will address the issues in the meetings tomorrow.
