President Ersin Tatar meets the Chairperson and Board Members of the Pakistan Cultural and Solidarity Association

President Ersin Tatar has met with Shahzad Khurram, Chairperson of the Pakistan Cultural and Solidarity Association, together with members of the Board of the association.

Welcoming the delegation, President Tatar expressed his pleasure in hosting them at the Presidency and emphasised the significance of Pakistan, describing it as a country of "great importance both to Motherland Republic of Türkiye and to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus".

President Tatar noted that the Pakistani community has long lived in harmony within the TRNC, and have contributed economically and to the cultural fabric of the country, remarking that the many shared values and affinities between the two peoples have not only facilitated their integration but also strengthened the bonds of friendship and solidarity.

He further highlighted the contributions of Pakistani nationals across a wide range of sectors, commending especially the early arrivals who established their own enterprises and thereby contributed meaningfully to the economic life of the country. On behalf of the Turkish Cypriot people, he extended his sincere appreciation for their efforts and achievements.

Underscoring the importance of regular dialogue, President Tatar stated that his ongoing meetings with the representatives of the association hold deep significance and contribute positively to mutual understanding.

For his part, Mr. Shahzad Khurram expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and conveyed his best wishes for the new Presidency. At the conclusion of the meeting, he presented a commemorative plaque to President Tatar as a token of appreciation.
