President Ersin Tatar received a delegation from the Association of Retired Police Officers headed by Nurettin Çırakoğlu, where discussions were held with regards to security and welfare issues of the TRNC.
Making a statement during the meeting, President Tatar pointed out that the “Police force is a fundamental institution tasked with the protection of the country, law enforcement and helping to stop and prevent crime”.
He added that “retired police officers, who are members of your association, are very important in terms of passing down their knowledge and experience, following their hard labour and service over many years”.
“The welfare and security of the TRNC is in the hands of our Police force,” the President added.
Stating that the recommendations and evaluations of retired policemen are important for the further development of the TRNC Police force due to the increasing need for police, President Tatar wished the new board members of the association success.
