President Ersin Tatar meets with the Turkish Greek Forum
President Ersin Tatar has met with the Turkish Greek Forum at the Presidency.
Speaking at the meeting, President Tatar paid tribute to the forum, made up of academics and diplomats, for their work in fostering better understanding between Turkish and Greek peoples – which he said naturally related to the Island of Cyprus.
President Tatar explained the position of the Turkish Cypriot Side regarding the Cyprus issue and his new vision for a two State settlement on the basis of sovereign equality and equal international status.
Other issues discussed during the meeting also included the cooperation initiatives between the two sides, the intimidation and arrests being undertaken by the Greek Cypriot leadership in relation to immovable properties, and the latest regional developments.
