President Ersin Tatar received Türkiye Hak-İş President Mahmut Arslan and President Kamu-Sen Metin Atan.
Starting his speech at the meeting by expressing his pleasure over the visit, President Tatar stated that the Turkish Cypriots proved the whole world that we are not alone in the struggle for independence and that Türkiye is supporting us.
President Tatar said the continuation of the struggle for the recognition and acceptance of the TRNC in the upcoming period is a great source of strength for us, emphasising that the TRNC is a separate Turkish Republic in the Eastern Mediterranean. “Our ties with the Motherland are very special and sacred,” said the President. “The Turkish Cypriot people will embrace the future with great hope. We have existed together and we will continue to exist together.”
