President Ersin Tatar to visit İznik, Türkiye to attend the opening ceremony of the 4th World Nomad Games, which will be attended by more than 3,000 athletes from 102 countries

President Ersin Tatar will depart for İstanbul at 10.15am tomorrow (Thursday, September 29, 2022) to attend the opening ceremony of the 4th World Nomad Games, which is organised by the World Ethnosports Confederation and has an important place in the Turkish world.
More than 3,000 athletes from 102 countries, 27 athletes from the TRNC wrestling and archery federations, as well as seven managers and coaches will participate in the 4th World Nomad Games organised under the slogan "Gelenekten Geleceğe Bir’iz!" (We are One: From Tradition to Future!).
President Tatar, who will meet with Republic of Türkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other heads of state who will be attending the event, will also meet TRNC athletes who are participating in the 4th World Nomad Games tomorrow at 4.00pm in İznik.
President Tatar will then attend the opening ceremony of the 4th World Nomad Games. On Friday, President Tatar will be awarded an "Honorary Doctorate" by Bursa Uludağ University where he will give a conference titled "Strategic Importance of TRNC in the Eastern Mediterranean".
President Tatar, who will also participate in a separate conference titled "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus From Past to Present" at the Bursa Branch of the Birlik Foundation, will return to the TRNC via İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
