President Ersin Tatar visits Girne Municipality

“Work for the construction a new hospital in Girne should be completed following the election”

President Ersin Tatar visited Girne Municipality and met with  Mayor Nidai Güngördü. Noting that he visited the Municipality at every opportunity, President Tatar drew attention to the need to speed up the efforts for the construction of a new hospital in Girne.
 
 
“The construction of the new hospital which has already commenced, should be completed swiftly following the election”.
 
Stating that Girne Akçiçek Hospital is insufficient for regional health services due to the increasing population of the district, President Tatar emphasised the importance of completing the construction of this hospital immediately following the general election. The President conveyed his regret that the hospital, which was taken over from Girne American University by agreement during his term as Prime Minister, could not be completed as yet. He also emphasised the importance of completing this hospital immediately after the election.
 
President Tatar expressed support regarding the works for infrastructure of Girne and all other works being carried out under the leadership of Kyrenia Municipality;
 
President Tatar stated that their full support to infrastructure works and all other works being carried out in Girne under the leadership of the local municipality. Expressing his belief that the problems faced in the region will be eliminated with the implementation of planning and programming scheme, he pointed out that all stakeholders should support these studies.

President Tatar said: “It is important to meet the needs of people living in Girne and investing in the region by protecting the environment,” adding that “the natural and historical wealth of Girne, which is defined as the pearl of the Mediterranean, should be preserved”.
