President Ersin Tatar's speech at the introduction of the artificial intelligence application named “Professor Dux”

President Ersin Tatar has attended a presentation that was held at the Near East University (NEU) in Lefkoşa introducing the artificial intelligence application named “Professor Dux”.
Addressing the event, President Tatar stated that he was “gratified to be participating in an important presentation with regards to the introduction of the artificial intelligence application to be used for educational purposes”.
“The Professor Dux project is a significant step in developing artificial intelligence in the global world and the advancing technology being used by humankind,” President Tatar said.
Stating that the “unjust isolation and restrictions on the TRNC have been overcome with pioneering steps being taken in the field of science and technology,” the President said that “there have been important developments in artificial intelligence, research and development, and digitalisation".
Pointing out that the successes and works of NEU are also the achievements of the TRNC, a Turkic state in the eastern Mediterranean, President Tatar said that this application has taken place in the top three in the world rankings.
President Tatar congratulated Suat Günsel and the Günsel family – the founders of Near East University -- who also succeeded in manufacturing the Günsel electric car which he said “has come about due to their innovative vision and determination”.
