The ceremony started with the official motorcade of President Erhürman being received by cavalry units along the avenue leading to the Presidential Complex and escorted to the protocol entrance.

Following the arrival, President Erdoğan welcomed President Erhürman at the main entrance of the complex.  After the two presidents took their places at the ceremony area, the Turkish National Anthem was performed, accompanied by a 21-gun salute.

President Erhürman then saluted the ceremonial guard of honour. The ceremony also featured representations of 16 historic Turkish states -- with their flags and traditionally attired soldiers on display.

The two Presidents then posed for the press in front of the flags of the Republic of Türkiye and the TRNC, after which they proceeded to their meeting.

The ceremony was also attended by Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of Türkiye.

Following the meetings of the two Presidents, a press conference is expected to be held at the Presidential Complex.
