“The security of Turkish Cypriots will be prioritised in case of an agreement”

President Ersin Tatar attended the ceremony where the body of martyr Fuat Niyazi, one of the 1963 missing persons who was found and identified during the excavation of the Truilli village of Larnaca by Missing Persons Committee, was buried with a military ceremony in the martyrdom in the Nicosia Cemetery.
In his speech at the ceremony, President Ersin Tatar stated that they shared the pain of the families of the martyrs and said that priority will be given to the security of the Turkish Cypriots in a possible agreement in Cyprus.
Noting that the full and effective guarantee of the Motherland Türkiye is a red line, President Tatar stated that this is of vital importance and expressed his condolences to the family and loved ones of the martyr Niyazi.
