Workshop on Children’s Rights: Institutional and legal practices to be discussed
A workshop on Children’s Rights is to be held under the auspices of the Presidency led by First Lady Sibel Tatar where institutional and legal practices on the issue will be discussed.
The event, which will bring together more than 100 participants who are experts in their respective fields, is being held at Acapulco hotel in Çatalköy, as from March 29 to 30.
Issues under discussion will include the provision of adequate safeguards, providing sufficient child protection and enabling the best environment for the development of the children. Existing policies will also be debated taking into consideration the interests of children and their safe upbringing.
As it will be remembered, First Lady Sibel Tatar had spearheaded a Family Workshop that was held in February (2022) under the auspices of the Presidency, with the participation of a total of 30 institutions, organisations and approximately 200 individuals from relevant ministries, to discuss domestic problems and the causes for divorce.
